[ilug-cal] configuring apache

Hi all I am having a problem in configuring the apache server. I have placed the "index.html" file in "/home/httpd/html". But when I try viewing the file with "lynx 127.0.0.1" the server is giving an error message number 403 stating that I am not authorised to view / on this server. What am I missing? Thanks in advance.
