i agree with indra on that there should be no discussion on the list 
regarding warez or other things repugnant to the list's policy.
it is right to warn anyone who (though perhaps unwittingly) breaks that rule. 
in fact, it may also be in order to say that anyone who broke the rule in 
future would be liable to be taken off the list.

but will a responsible listadmin take a whole list offline because of an 
individual's action? i can't believe this. of course, i don't know the first 
thing about managing a list and i'm sure indra is greatly experienced. but 
common sense tells me that this is overreaction.

the ilug-cal list is an open forum for people living in or around calcutta 
where they can discuss problems/issues regarding linux. i cannot see why an 
individual's action is going to deprive all of us from that facility.
