That sure does hit the spot,
I have a CD writer and id be more than happy to dole out copies of linux
, I think we ought to maintain a few flavours for users so that we can help
out people. I think we might manage to lure in a few more folks into the
linux ranks if say we gave out copies of the OS and advice/help/support on
how to install and get going.
Saugata, thanks so much for this since im really hunting for a working
RedHat distro [recall my laments on previous post :( ], in fact i think its
only fair that i at least pay for shipping/CD costs. I'd rest easier with
that thought.
The last RedHat 7.1 install was such a breeze [at least as far as i got
with 1 CD :) ] , i think its even easier than setting up Winbloze ! And you
dont have a screen to put in a complex serial number either :)
If its ok with Indra, rest of the list I'd be more than happy to take on the
position of distro-distributor for Calcutta/Kolkatta/Howrah :)
I currently have the caldera and thats about it. But would be cool to keep a
few to pass them along. I recall a really really old meet when Arup had
discussed having our own ilug-distro ! I dont think we got down to doing it,
but perhaps some time we can.
