Dear Friends,

I was trying to come back from my stay back...

I told Indra about the work of Dr. Palash Baran Pal, one which I used
to use on my old Slackware machines, without any X. Can we think of the
following:

TeX is indeed a superb platform; can we make Emacs as the basic
environment to start off with and then use backend Lisp (I mean Elisp)
programme to do the jobs relegated by small emacs commands ? if we can
then we can possibly think of almost anything and everything using the
Bengali fonts of TeX : the idea shall be to take in input through Emacs,
possibly in a small command window (like the Tektronix interactive
graphics frames under VAX machines), convert these to Bengali using TeX
and xdvi in the backend and so on... (I can try to explain the sequence
if specific questions are asked; in fact that shall help me to clarify
my ideas also...)

        Please produce your comments...
