I used Will (wireless in local loop) in Channei 2 years back & it only had
limited
mobility. (i.e. range is limited) there is nothing as fixed line, all sets
are like cordless phones, a base station & the hand set.It will operate
within the range (depending on the height of the transmission tower) of the
exchange which use WILL technology, which in kolkata is now being offered in
some suburban exchanges only. Only when the complete city is switches over
to WILL will you be able to connect from anywhere. But unlike the present
fixed line phones, data transfer is far faster & better.
