Hi friends,
I am Santanu, hope u people didn't forget me so soon.....sorry I couldn't
participate in this group, coz these days I spend in our client's site for
the implementation purpose and so could not access net......I could not also
attend the ILUG meetings....well these days I am facing with a problem while
copying from a CD....I burnt the CD in a Windows system and it contains
tar.gz files.....now while I am accessing the CD from my home PC which has
only Linux7.2 as its operating system, the contents of the CD is shown
perfectly by konquerer file browser, I have KDE desktop environment, even
contents are displayed using ls -l command, but while I am going to copy the
files in my local drive using cp or install command its throwing I/O error
after copying the maximum of 1.9MB.....all the files with size <1.9MB are
perfectly copied, but it failed to copy even a 2MB file after copying the
max of 1.9MB....is it any configuration problem with my OS for the CD-Rom
driver? or its the problem with my CD-Rom drive? please help me with a
solution!!!!!!

showing that linuxconf and even linuxconf-web is running as the brackground
OS services, but I could not access it.....I am not getting any menu link in
the system menu for it!!!! can anybody tell me whats the actual problem and
how can I get access to it?
