hello guys

can we concentrate on the participation of ilug-cal in compass
and go into the fine distinctions, opinions, statements, flames,
debates, etc about this open and/or free .. linus and/or rms
thing aside from the issue which needs immediate attention ..
that being .. how to participate in compass .. they have to make
flyers, propoganda material, media releases, brochures for stall
bookings and brochures for sponsors information .. there is just
no time for so many things to be done in just 60 days

and from the attitude of IT Secy WBGov Mr DP Patra, its gonna be
one hell of a serious show .. not the fun and frolic like earlier
.. this is gonna be on hell of a serious business .. and WBGov is
looking with far too much expectation at compass than even
compass envisaged .. i sincerly feel compass will be hard put to
deliver the goods meeting even 30% of the 'great expectations'

i shudder .. even after having handled ministers for micro fair
.. it was fun and expo thing .. this is being taking too
seriously .. and i do intend to strain every muscle and utilise
all my strength and resources to see that compass can sustain in
whatever its planning ..

oh ! btw .. just to clarify .. i AM a life member .. and
'accepted' by the exec comm of compass .. just enough to make
some little marks on their plans

..pk
