Hi
it is well established that for a substantial period of time, the ext2fs was
the filesystem for the linux environment. however as a modification to the
ext2fs, the ext3fs offers 'journalisation'. now it is obvious that in a
server based environment, such facility is most welcome as the reboot time
after crash is very [and i mean really] fast. question is on a desktop,
stand-alone mac, what is the advantage performance-wise as well as the
resultant sum of data loss after recovery ? And where are reiser-fs
implemented ? And what is the advantage there.
Any information will be appreciated
Regards
Sankarshan
