Hi it is well established that for a substantial period of time, the ext2fs was the filesystem for the linux environment. however as a modification to the ext2fs, the ext3fs offers 'journalisation'. now it is obvious that in a server based environment, such facility is most welcome as the reboot time after crash is very [and i mean really] fast. question is on a desktop, stand-alone mac, what is the advantage performance-wise as well as the resultant sum of data loss after recovery ? And where are reiser-fs implemented ? And what is the advantage there. Any information will be appreciated Regards Sankarshan
