Both dpkg and apt-cache both provide info on installed pkgs but very little on not-yet-installed ones. Right?
So is it possible to know which pkg to install if I know one of the files I need from it?
Also (different query!) where are the source pkgs?
Searched all 7 disks for .dsc and .orig.tar.gz with no luck!
Thanks in advance to all.
