after several rounds of talks, discussions, sms's here is the shape of things : 1. it is possible to do a lot more now 2. it is possible to have lecture slots .. 4 per day for all the 4 days at park hotel 3. it is possible to have our own desk at netaji indoor stadium 4. it is possible to have a full day's lecture in khudiram anushilan kendra 5. it is possible to have one full stall of 3m x 2m in park (sangam hall) 6. it is possible to have more pc's at our stall in park (sangam hall) 7. it is possible to go in for a huge membership drive .. double our membership .. or more too what we need : a. to fix our wish list b. to fix our membership drive target c. to fix as many speakers from among members d. to fix as many volunteers for all the 4 days e. to fix as many 'topics' for talks (games, office apps, web server s/w, multimedia, etc) what needs to be done now : - all volunteers to respond .. respond to this email .. within monday 2pm (30th dec 2002) - give their wish lists - give more wishes - suggest - assume responsiblities .. indicate willingness - contact me by phone if necessary (98310 92757) - send copy to raja guha .. raja to take up this very serious matter in light of this very welcome development what will need to be done during the expo : = man the stalls at sangam hall = man the ilug-cal desk in NIS within the compass office space = direct visitors of NIS to sangam linux points = conduct themselves as very professional people = remove the fear of linux from general public = increase awareness of linux = handle school students .. large numbers = handle other potential users = handle other h/w and s/w engineers queries = enrol ilug-cal members on the spot = sell tux T-shirts why this email ? . i have to answer to compass in a very short time frame we are in a stronger position than before .. to capitalise on these developments .. please respond to this immediately guys ! ..pk (epilogue : we have covered ALL these points in our meetings .. from many angles .. from many approaches .. lets put it into a good proper structure now ! it looks much more difficult than it really is ! don't get intimadated or scared .. we CAN do it ! so .. let DO it !!) -- To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the body "unsubscribe ilug-cal" and an empty subject line.
