There are also less expensive ways to do porting, as has been proven by TransGaming which is partly in the business of porting MS Windows games to Linux for various companies. http://www.transgaming.com/ > People must convince them that the market in Linux Games is not bad and > their products will sell. [Do you guys agree with me?] This is a chicken and egg issue. The Linux Game market is bad as there aren't many linux games. I'm not a game player, and don't run any proprietary software (there are very few FLOSS games - games have more artistic content than functional content so don't map as well onto the FLOSS model), so this isn't an issue for me to take on. It should be interesting to some of the gamers to help get that "last excuse to run Microsoft Windows" out of the way. --- Russell McOrmond, Internet Consultant: <http://www.flora.ca/> Any 'hardware assist' for communications, whether it be eye-glasses, VCR's, or personal computers, must be under the control of the citizen and not a third party. -- http://www.flora.ca/russell/ -- To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the body "unsubscribe ilug-cal" and an empty subject line.
