  As an example, RedHat 8.0 came on 5 CD's, not just 3.  Some people
decided to only burn the 3 'binary' disks, but that is their choice.  
RedHat is living up to their obligation with the GPL by offering the
sources in the same formats/manner as they are offering the binaries.


  Now if I give the 3 disks to someone, I am taking on the obligation to 
offer the other 2 if they ask for them.   Easiest if you are worried about 
it is to burn all 5 if you plan on giving them to someone you aren't a 
close friend with.
