Ummm... at the first glance this looks like A-Very-Bad-Move (TM)... a
Grade-A FUD material in MSFT FUDmeisters' hands.

Howver, I guess its a bit premature to really take this too seriously.
Everyone knows that Linux distribution companies (e.g RHAT etc) don't make
money (they actually  lose it) on CD boxes. The main revenue stream is from
paid support contracts, training and specialised consultancy services. Then
why should RHAT want to hit where it would hurt is the most???

Sankarshan, do we had any inputs on what is RHAT policy for their current
"supported" users on "old" versions of RHAT Linux in terms of migration to
newer/latest versions? Is there a chances of more monies changing hands,
especially at revised rates????

Far too many people has fallen flat on their faces trying to crystal ball
future IT scenario... however, seems to me that a major shakeout is in the
coming among the various commercial Linux distributions. And I won't be so
surprised if that "challenge" (?) comes from IBM.
