It was unfortunate that the first LUG meet after Compass had to
be called off. But the moment Indra knew about it he call me up. As the
expected no of peoples turning up for this meet was very high we decided
that my office space would not be big enough and at such a late hour other
arrangements even if possible could not be communicated to the others at
such a short notice. that is why the meet had to be called off. Please be
optimistic and do not think that this is the beginning of the end.;-) and I
agree meetings are a MUST now.
Now please clarify if the hardware vender who supplied us the
m/c is still upset over it getting fried. If he is generous enough to forget
it this time we have decided to take care of it from the next time by hire
the machines needed for the lug.
As I see it the LUG is like a community and in a community people should
understand each others limitation can try to cover for them. it would be
very nice to have a fixed place for the LUG meets but till that happens we
should try to schedule the meet at the earliest.
