As we 3 young members (me , anindya & Sumeet ) arrenge the last meeting , I
am telling what happened acctually .
The first problem was the estimation of how much member will turn up , as
Indra da said in the last cancled meeting there was about 30 to 40 people
turn up when even the meeting declared cancle. So we excepted a large hall
for it.
So we aproched HIT as PKS has some connection with it. We told them that we
are arrenging a meeting & there will be some techno talks in it & thats all
then we will discuss our own things but Mr Ghosh & Anirban Dutta (AD)
completely misunderstand it they though that we are giving seminar even when
we clearly mentioned meeting & also they told that we should allow their
student to attentit else they will not provide the hall & h/w. In fact AD
asked ( or you may say command us ) to have some techno talks like
instaaltion & help him with SAMBA & little bit of programming with PHP so we
made the sechudle that way.
We though that the techno part will be over with in 4:30 to 5:00 then we will
discuss our problems (since we told them we will be there till 6:30 ) but
here also they resquested us to leave after 5:30.
Also we do not excepted that so much student will trun up in satur day which
also become a problem.
>From our part we told them that it is a LUG meeting & have techno part in it
which can be attened by their studnet but they though it as seminar & so
recducing the time limite caauses all the problems.
Also for h/w we got same h/w for COMPASS & if Atul was not here we could not
applied the patch so h/ws also not disccused completely long before we got
the m/cs but at the run time.
Also we have to use HIT since no other member able to arrenge alternative
venues since we alway posted what we are doing & so every one know in advance
where the next meeting will.
