called *YOUNG* members didn't performed so well/not well atall.
Now,let me make some points here........
Ranjabati mentioned that after COMPASS we are not that small
group/force.Fine point then why we missed what was the MOST IMPORTANT
meeting of February?...where ppl(not HIT ppl) who got interested in
the Linux thing came to attend.
Next,if people cant make difference between meeting and seminar we
cant help!IF mentioning several times that it is a *MEETING* instead
of *SEMINAR* does not make sense to someone we cant help.We clearly
mentioned to HIT ppl its a meeting not a seminar ....to please visit
our website before attending what they called a seminar.,...if they
dont we cant help.If ppl come with attitude of seminar and dont get
the idea of LUG we cant help.even it COMPASS it was very clear among
few ppl that LINUX appealed to them more than LUG.They consider LUG at
cd getting center....call'em up and get the cds.So,its not atall
miscommunication but more on ppl attitude towards a new thing.
the letter given to HIT had clearly mentioned in it it was a
*MEETING*.Anybody can have a look at it(hardcopy/softcopy
available)...full transparency.When we went to talk and
see the venue before the *A MAIL WAS POSTED THAT ANYBODY INTERESTED
PLEASE CONTACT SUMEET OFFLIST,ONLIST,BY PHONE WHATEVER WAY* ...if none
replies/interested for some uncanny reson they dont HAVE ANY RIGHT TO
COMMENT ON IT LATER ON.If yes,then fine I have several issues
to talk on........
And criticism is fine but when someone does that its needs to have few
things in mind.This is *FIRST* time a meeting(from our pt of view)
1. Started at almost right time 2. Declared earlier and didnt fail. 3. Had predetermined agenda
the 3rd point needs to be discussed......I feel Sumeet clearly posted
a mail for tech topics..now....I guess the speakers for the last month
didn't reply(dont the reason really).And when something happens for
the first time it bound to have some problems.But from our part we
tried to do better......we(me,summet,and anirban) went 2 hours before
the meeting started...started installation...and other staff...now if
machines are like that one cant do much abt it.Anirban went out to
stand for members so show them the way to HIT.
Also,when we contacted Tathagatada...he said he is not willing to show
installation because he was not interested in standing that much
amount time.....little I knew that the Tathagatada's presentation will
take more than 45 minutes...?...This is where things went wrong.We
should have taken the time limit for each speaker and planned that
way.Yes,we made a fault there.But,I look at it for some +ive pts
too.Like,it had a tech content although it missed the discussion
after that.Some blame goes to HIT too for not taking things in the way
we meant.
Further I missed to see some lady at 40 at the meeting...i would loved
to see her..but there was none.....also Anirban's slides dont have any
spelling mistakes too..it came from blug website. lol..further he
showed his slides[24 in no] in 5 minutes...it takes superhuman eyes to
detect any errors really....so who Ranjabati is we can guess..certaily
I am sure abt him......"Oti chalaker golae dori". ..
