hey, hey. what are you talking about? you didn't know a normal lecture
accompanied by slides would last around 45 minutes? what was your
estimate? surely you aren't asking me to follow anirban's example in
this?  :-)
and in any case, why didn't you tell me to wrap it up in half an hour or
so, when you saw time was short? i would have sincerely tried, though it
wouldn't have been doing any sort of justice to the subject. what i
meant when i refused to do the installation talk was that two talks one
after the other would surely require me to stand on the podium for
nearly an hour and a half. i mean, was 45 minutes an unnatural /
unexpected length for a short lecture? i find your comment a bit
irresponsible.
and if you want to write about the ranjabati thing on the list, i think
you had better inform all listers first, of the context. not all know
what's been going on.
