Hi all,

Rupak and Shantanu had invited me over to Asutosh College today for a meeting
with the CompSci HoD Prof Gautam Mahapatra.

Basically the discussions were based more around the designing of Tracks and
organisation of the event by Aasutosh College. Gautam-da has already begin the
planning, he'll be letting us know abt it once things fall into a shape, which
can be presented to the Principal for sanctioning purpose. The Workshop will be
a three day affair, with the tentative dates set towards the last week of April
or early May.

For the records, as of now, this will be an Aasutosh College event, several
external persons and organisations are being approached by them to be present as
speakers and in other capacities, namely technical expertise and organisation.
The LUG is one of these approached.

Rupak will be speaking with Gautam-da either tomorrow or the day after to get
the LUG's involvement clarified and endorsed by the college's Prinicipal. Prior
to that, I'm thinking that a letter outlining the scope and sphere of our
activities should be sent from the LUG's part to the Principal, Aasutosh College
with CC to Prof Mahapatra.

I expect the following people to be involved in this letter drafting/validation
activity -- Tathagata (being a prof and closely familiar with the associated
protocols), Rupak and Santanu (both are ex-students of the college and our point
of contact)

IMO, we should focus on our LUG's involvement in the Aasutosh College Linux
Workshop as part of our Linux OutReach program.

I'm at present drafting the Linux Outreach program's memorandum and agenda,
which I'll be placing it for review by members on the list.

I'll also like it to be made a part of April's LUG meeting's firm agenda.
Sumeet... you agree on this?

Will keep the list posted on new developments.

cheers,
--indra
