Barrackpore isn't exactly on the dark side of the moon, just a 40 minute train ride from Sealdah. We *need* a centrally located venue, which is easily commutable for the maximum number of users. But is it really possible that between the LUG and so many of its members, can't even manage a venue in the city where it is supposed to be located???? <j/k> The way we are going abt venues, we might as well start calling ourselves... the "Wandering Linux Users Group -- the Lost Tribe of Tux" ;-) <j/k> Seriously, aside from AscentSolutions/Sumeet's office in Barrackpore in May 2003, is there anything else we can look at as a venue? Something closer? Any thoughts? Anybody? We were comparing member head-counts on the 8th... Sumeet's count was ~35, while I noted around ~40 members present. Its important that the meetings should really get going ASAP basis.... it's also true that an ad-hoc solution which doesn't scale by another 15 - 20 members wud prolly land us in the similar dilemma in not a far away future -- which could be as soon as a couple of months! Let us be practical over here. --indra. PS. B4 someone's fingers start itching ... yes, I'm aware of B'pore being a CALTEL and CAL PO area! ;-) -- To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the body "unsubscribe ilug-cal" and an empty subject line.
