No problem. I can think of 3 possible topics. 


Scientific Workflow Under Linux - An overview of scientific tools for
prototyping, calculations, visualization and document production
available under Linux. (Probably quite broad, not going into too much
detail on any one topic)

Python - general overview, OO features, applications in various fields 

Glade & libglade - GUI design with Glade and use of Glade generated code
or on the fly UI loading via libglade (will involve C/Python code)

If anyone has any preferences for one of the topics I'll talk about that
otherwise I'll go with the first one
