Hi to all,

I am a new Linux user and this is my first posting to this list, so
please bear with my mistakes.

I have Red hat Linux 9 installed in my AMD PC but I want to create a
dual boot with Fedora core 1.

However my PC does not boot with the first disc of Fedora core 1 CD, I
got with Linux for You (Feb issue), though it readily boots from RHL 9
CD #1 that I have.

I got the CDs replaced from my vendor, but I still have the same
problem.I wrote to the magazine but got no reply.

Next, I created a boot floppy with bootdisk.img file in the images
folder. This time it boots normally but I did not proceed with the
installation as I feared that the CDs provided with LFY mag. may be
corrupt especially as I cannot verify the MD5 checksum.

Can anybody share his/her experience with installing from the particular
CDs (of LFY MAG.) ?
Please advice on what I should do.
Thanks in advance.

Yours sincerely,

Yakut Hossain.
