kernel 2.6 (used in FC2) has a seperate module for the PC speaker - I am
not sure whether the FC2 kernel ships with that enabled.
Also, fire up alsamixer - and set the "PC Speaker" Volume to maximum.

Does doing modprobe/insmod by hand help ??
(try modprobe emu10k1)
