That's already working in my box. What it does is it suspends to the
hard disk, and power downs entirely - which means that resuming takes a
considerable amount of time (I have to go through the BIOS POST and
stuff like that). In suspend to RAM - I can have things working much
more quickly.

I had some discussions with the kernel hackers from Intel, and they have
been facing similar issues with S3 and HP/Compaq notebooks. Apparently,
the kernel is hanging/halting after performing the first few operations
needed for entering S3.

I'll let you know if I can get this to work.
