Hi
In my home my sister & Father also use linux (Suse 9.1). I Setup
an account for each of them. Their mian need were to surf internet
after they had problem with XP due to some virus. I asked them to
switch to linux.
After some days they are very comfortable with it. Inface my
father able to find the games like chess & started playing it. Also my
sister some how found how to play mp3.
So I think KDE/GNOME is now in a state where normal user can use it.
