Subject: [ilug-cal] SOS: Can someone HELP?

Also,I've purchased a new P-IV 3.0E GHz. machine on an
Intel D915GAG board and a Seagate Barracuda 120GB SATA
HDD and a LG 16X DVD-ROM. But, all of attemts to load
Linux(V7.0,8.0,8.1,9.0) have failed as niether of the
Mainboard or HDD or the ROM Drive is identified by
LINUX. Can U suggest something to solve the problem of installing Linux? I've also tried Mandrake9 and KNOPPIX 3.1 but all in vein.

A bleeding edge machine probably asks for bleeding edge distros. Try FC3

I think gentoo will be better. They released one today.

FC3 is not really bleeding edge. They do not put any latest beta in their distro.
