Hi,
I tried ur sol.Grub was not showing. In the resque mode though I tried, but it was not working. I have changed the Primary Master format from NTFS to FAT32 and loaded win2k2 over there making some free space on the same partition. In the 2ndary Master I loaded RHL, except the /boot (this I loaded in the Primary Master). and now it is working fine. Thanks a lot.

Hi,
what about the grub menu? can u see it? If you see it use try using grub prompt("grub>") while the grub menu displayed. next issue the each command separately-
a. root(hdX,Y) X,Y-> depends on your HDD partiotions
b. initrd statement (consult your grub.conf)
c. root=... (again from your grub.conf)
[sorry,Infact the number.numbers I forgot]
after that issue "boot" at grub prompt. if all are OK, then it should boot into linux.
thanks prosun

Hi,
Recently I have faced one problem regarding installations of 2 os in two diff. HDDs. I have two hdds(40 GB each), one is Primary Master and another is secondary Master. Windows 2000 is loaded in Primary Master(1st HDD). Now I am trying to install RH Linux 9 in another HDD, loading GRUB in the MBR of the 1st hdd. Loading is fine. But at the time of booting some error is coming "GRUB error: error code 17". Will u please suggests some idea(s)?
Thanks in advance.
