some good news ..
Our second day at BF was a grand success!
Among many volunteers present were Jayabrata,
Triranjan, Avishek and other WBUT students, Prosun,
Palash, etc. Unfortunately I could not make
time because of office work pressure.
But I heard from Jayabrata and Avishek that
we have captured one more machine ! Now three
of AMAR PCs have linux installed. And whats more
encouraging is that people were flocking towards the
Linux
PCs more than windows. One dedicated hindi desktop,
one dedicated
bangla desktop and a SUSE machine.
Or Jayabrata said he installed some other interesting
disro (name I am
forgetting).
Next target could be a laptop and then networking
between machines.
Great work by volunteers so far. I heard both
Triranjan and
Jayabrata were very active.
Anshul - what happened ? could you not make it or did
nobody
recognise you ?
Others also please come and join the show.
Tomorrow I will be there for at least some time in the
afternoon or late
evening.
Hope the tempo will go on.
