With all due respect, this isnt a matter to waste bandwidth on. This archive 
has been  around for an amazingly long time. IIRC, this was linked even from 
the ILUG-Cal website. This is because yahoo groups was banned by the GoI and 
this was the alternative we had for an Official Mail Archive => 
http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.kolkata . Gmane was chosen 
then, since it was the only solution available, which was devoid of 
irritating ads. I am sure old-timers like Sayamindu and Indra-da are well 
aware of this. BTW, this is a public mailing list and any such archiving does 
not infringe anyone's privacy and hence cannot be called a "hijack". Lets use 
bandwidth for a more productive purpose and stop this thread here itself.
