Hi,
infact I can say comparing Reiserfs and Ext3... Reiserfs complies more
towards posix acls and its faster for smaller files and multiple
recursive directories. Even for large Files its quite fast... but in
case you are planning to store file more than 1 GB with a huge Hard
disk I would recommend ext3...

I have 4.3 GB HDD and no file having a size > or = 1GB.
but I have noticed a warning message during the booting says *DMA is turned off* . long before in Redhat6.2 I enabled the DMA option during kernel compilation and booting from that build kernel displayed some error messages with IDE reseting . since then I have never activated DMA . is there any command to enable the IDE DMA to just check whether it will work or not ?

thanks for ur response.
