Hi,

As far as I know, BSNL's broadband service is given using PPPoE. It is
quite easy to configure pppoe using adsl-set script.

Use "adsl-setup" to configure the pppoe connection and then use
adsl-start to start the dialup.

BTW, you do not need to worry about your phone bill as pppoe service
is independent of phone call rates.
