i'm using an old HP 2200C on redhat 9 , suse,slackware & vector both with
2.6 ( libscanner )
and 2.4 ( usb/scanner ) with complete success . I hear HP gear is more linux
than anyone
but that's subjective - of course .

hi,
a friend of mine has been trying hard to find out which scanner he should
buy for his gnu/linux desktop.
unfortunately, no item from the compatibility list on the SANE website seem
to be available in calcutta.
i would like to hear some (hopefully recent) success stories (if any) in
this regard, including model number, price, etc.
