Sorry, I think i didnt understand the original question. I was talking of soundcards and FC4 in general.
I have already filed a bug. The situation is this: I have a desktop (intel MOBO + celeron 2.4 Ghz) and a laptop (acer). Both has intel ac97 audio. Steps: 1) Install FC3 out of the box in both and System-config-soundcard can play sound. No problems. 2) Install FC4 on both and System-config-soundcard *cannot* play sound.
