This is a Linux Users' Group list, please have some sense and realise
that a Microsoft Powerpoint worm is ineffective in Linux.

Anything not directly connected with Linux/other FLOSS software
(including BSD) is OT, and any mail posted which does not meet the above
definition should be prefixed with the [OT] tag. Quite a few people are
subscribed to a number of mailing lists and instruct their MUAs to
delete [OT] mail automatically

Unfortunately your efforts have been misunderstood. Besides, the rest of
the message is obviously not your.

Please cross-check the veracity of the sources of such "warnings". Most
of the time these are well-known hoaxes and it's extremely irritating
for quite a few of us to clog up our mailboxes with such hoaxes. Besides
I don't see you as a "saviour" simply because your warning is totally
unwarranted for *all* Linux users.

Please do look up basic mailing list etiquette, the Kolkata LUG one is
here : http://www.ilug-cal.org/?q=node/view/2
There are other pages too, and a quick Google search would turn up quite
a few of them.
