Hi Jayanata, I would suggest you use Suse Distributions like the current one called SuSE Professional 9.3, you will get bundled OpenOfice and many easy to use S/W. Above all, you would also like its nice and easy management tool called Yast. My experience with newcomers in Linux is, to try the one which is easiest, and nothings comes close to Suse. In case you need the CD's I can burn it for you, just message me offlist.
