For nearly 5 months I am using AMD64 3200+ and MSI480 with a SATA hard drive. I tried Fedora Core 3, PCQLINUX, RedHat enterprise 9.0 (distributed with AmarPC) but failed. None could "find the hard drive". A post by me in this group found only four "upgrade the BIOS" responses. This is impossible in a small town like ours due to inadequate internet fecility. I don't know whether newer distros solve it, neither do I know what happens in case of ATA hard drives. A "RAID" disk is supplied with the MB, but none suggested any use of this in this matter. Last but not the least -- WINDOWS XP gave no trouble, installed without any hinge, works really well!!
