Dear Friends in ILUG-CAL As a part of a research endeavor, unfunded but affiliated to S A Jaipuria College under Calcutta University, where i am teaching economics for around fifteen years, a loose title of what can be: "Dynamic Feasibility of FLOSS", i am trying to gather and mobilize my ideas on FLOSS. The bigger perspective of this research work is the Economic scenario in the Third World in general, India in particular. Putting FLOSS in a postmodern postcolonial Third World perspective and evaluating its possibility as one apparatus in the economic survival is within my research project.
What concerns me is the experience of FLOSS, particularly as an economic effort, that is in the form of SW industry. FLOSS in small enterprise, FLOSS in corporate, FLOSS in development, FLOSS in philosophy, FLOSS in economics and political economy. Evaluation of experiences of FLOSS endeavor in West, Asia, or India. I would be so grateful to get anything in this area that you consider as important. That may be your ideas, or, your experiences, or some links or some books: please send me the references. And i would like to talk with you, particularly if you have hands-on experience in FLOSS related enterprises. This is not just an academic activity, i am no detached and neutral observer to FLOSS, but i want to judge all these emotions and ideologies and all against the experience of FLOSS. So, please if you have got anything to say, share it with me. I need them. I am carbon-copying this mail to some people that i consider as possible resource people. If you have someone like that in your mind, please do not hesitate to send her or him a copy of it. dipankar das -- To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the body "unsubscribe ilug-cal" and an empty subject line.
