again it was noticed that running windows version of mozilla is much better in memory usage. speed is okay even with wine. is there any explanation for this. with 11 or 12 tabs it takes around 140 MB. but the GNU-linux version takes around 250 + mb. I am using ubuntu 8.04 . Also after closing the tabs, memory is reclaimed quickly. It looks like there is a memory leak in firefox for linux based OS.
I tried to tune firefox in many ways i could. but no real effect.
