Hi,

I do not use red hat, i use ubuntu .But i had this same issue,and i think
its got more to do with getting the dynamic ip automatically from the ISP,
and browser getting it properly.

Try doin ifconfig and jot down the ip,subnet mask,default gateway etc..
and put em manually in the config of the browser.Works for me :)

Wish some one could offer something more solid and definite than,
my vague idea .
