Hi all, I have finally decided to switch to KDE to try it out. I have been using Linux Mint with the default Gnome DE. I still have gnome but I have all installed KDE (sudo apt-get install KDE) Installation was smooth. However I have run into certain problems.
1. KDE is acting very sluggish. It doesn't respond quickly to my mouse commands. I believe I have a decent system . (1 GB ram and an AMD sempron processor on an AM 2+ motherboard). 2. I cant hear any sound from my system. The media players are not working at all. But they do so correctly in Gnome. Does anyone have a solution to these problems?
