As far as I know, there is no Free software like Tally. If you look at the available ones, you will see that they stopped development soon after the first few releases. There are personal accounting software like SQL Ledger that are probably quite mature, but nothing in the class of Tally. There is an Indian project called GNUKhata, which may not be as versatile as Tally, but you could, perhaps, take a look at it. See: http://gnukhata.gnulinux.in/ Best -- V.
