My friend is using Ubuntu 8.10. Unfortunately there is a problem with the sound. Although it has a better bass than windows (he was amazed by that), the sound is very fuzzy and distorted in nature. And also the videos are also very flickering in nature. The frames are interposed with a Red Background. I tried everything to solve it but its of no use. I would really appreciate a remedy for the problem. He uses a Creative sound sytem. (The card and the speakers are rom Creative. No problems with these in Windows).
