Most of the members here, already have the idea of a social networking/etc things... We all are engaged to many such web services. But the point you are specifying is about the availability of instant help. But if we make new profiles/videos/pics , it wont fulfill wat u propose.. An easy and best choice is online chatting... u r already said IRC is slow... We have a very reliable chat service called Gtalk/Gmail... with that we can share video/pics etc.. SO all you have to do to add members of this mail list as your friends.. how simple... every one who want to get instant responses, please add more members u can.. Since Gmail is available in most of the office, it is more convenient, it may be difficult to access an extra web services for this purpose from Office..( at least from my office..) So please stick with Gtalk/gmail and add more members.. N.B:- i sent a chat request.. did u get it yet??
