The only problem with IRC is that, we may not find anybody at a particular channel in random timing, especially of lugs and fsugs.
for instance, i logged in to #smc-project, #fsug-tvm and #ilugkochi today. All these channels didn't had enough participants. Usually, santhosh thottingal was present in smc's channel. But for the past one month, whenever i logged in to smc's channel, i didn't find him. to overcome this, there should be a scheduled IRC meeting, same day, same time, at least once every month. #ilugkochi is conducting an IRC meeting every 3rd Sunday of a month between 4pm to 6pm. Anybody could log on to the channel at this time to converse with their lug members. Such a meeting could be arranged by fsug-tvm too. I think, the moderator(s) can take note of this and make necessary arrangements. regarding clients, i have used mibbit and konversation. i liked konversation more than the web client.
