@ Bipin I was not talking about the link you posted. I agree with you fully that its more detailed & comparatively easy to understand than anything I read before. It will be useful for those who are interested (both geeks & non-geeks) about doing those things. But what about the others, those we FSAs convince with a great difficulty. Probably they'll be dual booting & will be asking for windows as primary choice, & also want to remove all other unnecessary entries. We cannot sit in front of them editing those config files & mess up the grub. I'm telling this because I made that very mistake.
I was commenting about the idea of editing grub indirectly by playing with other files. I mean what is the difference if we directly edit the grub or let those config files do it? If we make any mistake in editing the config files, it'll mess up the grub too...What is the difference?
