I recently bought a reliance CDMA netconnect 1x modem.. packed with ZTE dialer.. I have configured with usb_modswitch and wvdialconf. everything was fine and my modem detected and connected, DNS addresses shown too.. But I am not able to view any websites.. error showing there is no internet connection in firefox.. I have configured all of these using root account.. I have read some where in a post that , normal use must have the privilege to 'Dail up" some thign like that.. Imade the changes in Settings->User->groups.. but still the wvdialer connecting but not able to access any websites..??
any idea abt it?? N.B:- no one please dnt purchase this cdma1x.. its performance is pathetic in windows, they are saying connection speed is 230kbps, but if u wanna check your gmail, u have to sepnd 10 minutes to login, plus connection is really unstable... -- Life is NOT Free!!!
