Hi, i am also using a reliance netconnect broadband plus. if you are using gnome as your desktop environment you can use gnome network manager for connecting to internet. first plug in your usb modem. right click on the network manager applet and go to mobile broadband tab. click on add connection and follow the on screen instructions. it will first ask the device i.e modem used for connection select your modem i.e ZTE in your case and click next, if you are lucky, a profile for reliance netconnect wil be there is the service providers list, select it, if not enter the settings manually and click ok. in either case you will have to type in the username and passsword. once all done click ok and close the network connections box. to connect to net left click on he network manager applet, in the popup menu click on the connection name you have given to the dial up connection, say Reliance and you will be connected. to disconnect once again left click and select disconnect option.
the process is similar in KDE also. there also you can use kde network manager for connecting the net. however in the mobile broadband tab take care to select Add CDMA connection option also check the network settings of firefox. see whether work offline is not selected or it is configure use some proxy for connecting to the net Bipin On Feb 22, 10:49 am, JeevZ <[email protected]> wrote: > I recently bought a reliance CDMA netconnect 1x modem.. packed with ZTE > dialer..
