Hai friends, I have some things to discuss in FSUG meeting. Where is the venue ?*
1 . Blood bank software* Mahesh and Me has decided to start from scratch or rework a blood bank software. We have an existing system, that has been modified and adapted to our college needs. You can refer it here : www.mcet-nss.co.cc/bloodbank The repository is here : www.github.com/aneesh/bloodbank The problem with the system is it is based on tables, basic HTML etc. No CSS, java script is included. Also it is not modular and portable. We like to rework it. We don't have any experience maintaining or starting a project. We need support and guidance from experienced persons. * NB : Those who like to use the blood bank software for their college can also come and join us and make development faster.* *2. Free software classes* I like to conduct some hands on classes or workshops weekly in our college (Mohandas College <http://www.mcetonline.com/>). Some of the topics I think is : - Introduction to free software. - Getting started with GNU/Linux. - Introduction to GNU/Linux command line. - Programing in GNU/Linux (Just how to) - C - C++ - Java - etc. - Source code management (git). - Contribute to community. - Setting up wordpress and start blogging. - etc. I have talked with Vishnu sir of our department regarding this.
