Hi all,

I installed Ubuntu Ultimate Edition 2.7 on my system and I have to say that
I was pretty impressed. But I recently started noticing that my previous
installations of Linux Mint Gloria and Windows XP are failing to boot
properly. They were listed successfully on the Grub Boot Menu. But on
selecting the respective entries the following things occur.

1. Linux Mint Gloria boots and then displays that Ubuntu is running in low
graphics mode and stays that way (It hangs). In between I get the boot
screen of Ubuntu 10.04. (Strange!).
2. Windows seems alright at first showing the splash screen but then
suddenly it shows the Blue Screen of Death and the whole s/m goes for a
reboot.(Not that Strange![?])

I suspect that it is the new Grub 2 that is the cause of the problem.(I am
not sure of that). What is causing this and is there any solution to the
problem?

P.S. The partitions are alright as I can enter them through Nautilus.
