I do not agree to the view that GNU/Linux machines are not affected yet,
there are a lot of exploits one could find in a GNU/Linux box[1]. Of course
they are getting patched, and the usually boxes which dont run updates are
the victims.

But GNU/Linux, or all of the *NIX are yet to see any mentionable amount of
virus/malware. Its defenetly harder to write them than for the M$ but not
impossible[2].
A virus is a nuisance, in usual cases it doesnt actually generate any money
for the developer, people write it for fun and I belive *NIX will never
have more than couple of them because,

* Its a less popular platform among general public ( for *NIX users, system
is never a blackbox.)
* There is no actual money in developing one this hard.
* Things get fixed too fast.
