thanx for the reply. I dont have an IMAP server running in my machine that I am assuming. Q. Is there any test we can check IMAP server is running or not? (any mail server installed or not?) I dont have any dovecot or courier services in /etc/init.d/ (I use openSuse11.4). But I can send system emails (emails between systems users, using postfix ,I guess). so I was struggling to login to Horde bcoz of the IMAP user login.
